Affiliate disclosure

By Redactie Inburgering — samengesteld op basis van officiële bronnenLast checked: 2026-07-10

This website may contain commercial links, also known as affiliate links. This page explains what that means, how to recognise such a link, and what it does and does not mean for the content you read.

What is an affiliate link?

If you purchase something or sign up for a service via an affiliate link on this site (for example a course or study material to prepare for the civic integration exam), we may receive a small commission from the provider. This costs you nothing extra — the price you pay is the same as if you went directly to the provider.

How do you recognise such a link?

We want to be fully transparent about which content is commercial. Every affiliate block on this site is always clearly labelled as "Recommended (commercial link)", like this:

Recommended (commercial link)

Example: this is what affiliate blocks look like

This is an example of the label every commercial block on this site carries.

Regular text links to official sources (such as inburgeren.nl, DUO, or rijksoverheid.nl) are not affiliate links — we never receive a commission for those.

Does this influence our content?

No. Which topics we cover and how we explain them is determined by what is useful for readers — not by which party offers us a commission. An affiliate partner can change at any time without affecting the explanations on the rest of the site.
